The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV RST First Edition Is Almost Here

Chevrolet’s all-electric Silverado EV RST First Edition is almost here. The fully electric pickup truck was announced almost a year ago and since then the Silverado EV has seen several improvements. High performance combined with stunning capability offers consumers an electric truck unlike any other. Competitors like the Cybertruck and F-150 Lightning pail in comparison to the horsepower, range, and charging capability offered by the Silverado EV. RST First Edition Will Arrive Soon

After a years long wait the Chevy Silverado EV RST First Edition is here. As a fully electric pickup truck, the Silverado EV combines innovation with capability and performance. The all-electric pickup truck utilizes a dual motor setup and rides on General Motors’ (GM) new Ultium platform. This platform serves as the foundation for GM’s line of EVs. It provides the all-electric pickup truck with increased performance and capability putting it at an unrivaled 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque. The Silverado EV’s base 3WT trim only delivers 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque but it serves as a more economical variant of the powerful RST First Edition. This powerful trim offers unique features like Wide Open Watts mode and it even has a 0 to 60 mph time of just 4.5 seconds. 

The RST First Edition also comes with impressive charging capability. Many consumers point at battery range as a primary deterrent to EVs. With the Silverado EV, both range and charging are no problem. The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV sees up to 450 miles of battery range and it also offers one of the fastest charging speeds thanks to its 24-module battery pack. Owners can expect to fully charge their Silverado EV from zero in just one hour and 15 minutes. With a DC fast charger, the electric truck can add 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

Aside from performance, the Silverado EV offers versatility and functionality. Its multi-flex midgate provides owners with additional storage by expanding the load floor into the cab. The electric pickup truck also offers up to 10,000 pounds of towing capacity. Helping with towing and hauling is the Silverado EV’s e4WD system which delivers torque to all four wheels simultaneously for better traction. This along with driver-assist features like a tow/haul mode and an integrated trailer brake controller ensures owners can tow and haul with ease. Safety features like automatic emergency braking, forward collision alerts, and Chevy Super Cruise also ensure drivers remain safe. At a starting MSRP of $105,000 (plus destination fee), the 2024 Silverado EV RST First Edition looks ready to redefine the electric truck segment.
