2024 Chevy Trax: An Affordable New SUV
The newest 2024 Chevy Trax model is coming in strong and is cheaper than the 2022 model. This new vehicle has a starting price of $21,495 (plus destination fee) and is the most affordable vehicle that General Motors sells in the United States. Even with all the extra add-ons, the car is still below $27,000. The Chevy Trax comes with lots of legroom and a very spacious cargo space over the older models.
Every trim comes with an 8.0-inch touchscreen plus an optional 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster. Prospective buyers can expect a turbocharged 1.2-liter inline-three, a six-speed automatic transmission, to get 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. This five-passenger crossover SUV has many impressive features, but the most appealing is its affordable price. Chevy thinks the Trax will be its best-selling car model, following behind the Silverado and Equinox.
2024 Chevy Trax Port Consensus Model
General Motors recently introduced the 2024 Chevy Trax, a second-generation crossover vehicle. As of recently, the 2024 Chevy Trax will take on a port consensus model. The port consensus model has GM making the cars and choosing the trim levels to be built before the vehicles are shipped to the port. Consumers choose from the vehicles there when the cars make it to the port.
The port consensus model differs from other consensus models because dealers can ask which specific model they want from the factory for things like trim levels and configurations. For the 2024 Chevy Trax, consumers can take on a port consensus model instead. A few other vehicles under a port consensus model are the 2023 Buick Envision, the 2023 Chevy Trailblazer, and the 2022 Chevy Trax.

Some new features include a longer wheelbase, legroom, and cargo space. The new Trax has five trim levels: LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ. The LT trim comes with an 11.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and a remote start. The new Chevy Trax has a unique interior design with a sunroof, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The Trax LS and 1RS trims have an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 8.0-inch gauge cluster.
