The only vehicles with higher potential longevity are Toyota models, like the Sequoia standing at the top with a possible mileage of nearly 300,000 miles.

The Chevy Suburban received a higher ranking than other SUVs on the list, like the Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade, and Cadillac Escalade ESV.

To acquire data for this study, iSeeCars evaluated over two million vehicles sold within ten years in the past 20 model years and then ranked these models based on the example of their highest-achieving mileage. All of these rated models had at least two percent of the units exceed 200,000 miles, while the prime one percent of the vehicles journeyed between 230,000 and just below 300,000 miles over the past two decades.

“What we see is a list of highly-durable vehicles, capable of more than a quarter-million miles of use if properly maintained,” said Karl Brauer, iSeeCars Executive Analyst. “And to be clear, this study isn’t reporting the maximum lifespan of these vehicles. This is simply a measure of current odometer readings. Most of these cars are still in use and going strong.”

Regarding the foundation of this dependable SUV, the current 2023 Chevrolet Suburban has three available powertrains to choose from. These motors encompass the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84, which produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, with an output of 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbo diesel Duramax engine, with a mighty output of 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
