Chevy Silverado HD ZR2

Following right behind the Colorado ZR2 and the Silverado 1500 ZR2, Chevrolet presents the all-new Silverado HD ZR2. The Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 is a perfect mix of style and excellent off-road capabilities. Let’s dive into a few reasons why the 2024 Silverado HD ZR2 is a beast of a truck and an eye-pleaser.

A standard engine option for the new truck is a sizable 6.6-liter gasoline V8 engine that makes 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft on all the wheels. Chevy has made a 10-speed Allison automatic gearbox for the Silverado HD ZR2. This specific gearbox has been around since 2020 and is made specifically for heavy trucks. New features for this truck also include an aluminum skid plate, rear locker, 18-inch wheels, a steel transfer case, plus so much more.

As for the interior, there is a 13.4-inch diagonal infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch gauge cluster, and a 15-inch heads-up display. This truck has a towing capacity of 18,500 lbs and a max payload rating of 3,397 lbs. With all these impressive features of the 2024 Silverado HD ZR2 truck, it’s no surprise that customers are trying to get their hands on it, and once they do, they won’t be disappointed.

Another Silverado Trim

Chevrolet is giving customers what they want by introducing a heavy-duty truck, the 2024 Silverado HD. This truck comes with updated features, enhanced technology, and much more. The new lineup includes 2500HD and 3500HD models in Regular, Double, and Crew Cab configurations. The 3500HD has dual-rear-wheel models and has the highest trailering capacity, which is a whopping 36,000 pounds.

The 2024 Silverado HD is obtainable in Work Truck, Custom, LT, LTZ, and High Country trims. There is also an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission, now standard equipment for the Silverado HD’s powertrains, with a standard 6.6L V-8 gas engine and Duramax turbo-diesel. The Allison transmission’s 10-speed design helps with better engine braking control. The horsepower and torque numbers improved to 470 hp and 975 lb-ft of torque, per SAE J1349. These upgraded numbers help enhance the overall performance of this truck.

The Silverado HD has a significant presence and updated appearance features, including new headlights, fascia, and a new grille. This truck looks like it’s up for any adventure that comes its way. More exterior updates include standard tow hooks, “CHEVROLET” lettering on the hood scoop, and six new exterior colors: Sterling Gray, Dark Ash, Radiant Red, Auburn Metallic, Lakeshore Blue Metallic, and Meteorite Metallic.

More capabilities of this truck include a durable cargo box, 83.5 cubic feet of long box, Bedsteps, a 120-volt power outlet, a power tailgate, and more. The lineup also has the Z71 Sport Edition, Z71 Chrome Sport Edition, Midnight Special Edition, and the Alaskan Snow Plow Special Edition packages.
