Chevy’s Most Powerful Corvette Yet, The 2025 ZR1
The highly anticipated 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 has finally arrived. The supercar marks a new pinnacle in Corvette performance with a staggering 1,064 horsepower making it the fastest and most powerful Corvette yet. Chevrolet has outdone itself with the 2025 ZR1 equipping it with an all-new twin-turbo 5.5L V8 engine. Chevy has been hinting at the sports car’s capabilities for some time. Enthusiasts will be happy to know that production will begin in 2025. While pre-order details are forthcoming, we’ll take a closer look at the 2025 Corvette ZR1 and see what consumers can expect.
A New Type Of Corvette, The ZR1
Chevrolet has unleashed its fastest and most powerful Corvette with the all-new 2025 ZR1. At its core is a revolutionary twin-turbo 5.5L V8 engine which delivers an impressive 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque. The ZR1 showcases Chevy’s commitment to pushing the boundaries. The sports car features a flat-plane-crank design with a cutting-edge intake system. The engine is equipped with twin turbochargers as well as a secondary port fuel injection system. That’s not all. The ZR1 features newly engineered head castings, machined ports, and combustion chambers. Further enhancing the ZR1 is a reworked 8-speed dual-clutch transmission that comes with upgraded input shafts, increased gear capacity, and improved oil management.
The 2025 Corvette ZR1 has been molded in the pursuit of unparalleled speed and aerodynamics. First, the sports car features General Motors’ magnetic ride control suspension. Chevy’s engineers have also designed the ZR1’s body for optimal performance. The sports car features a flow-through hood, front underwing, and carbon fiber splitter. The ZR1 also includes carbon-fiber side ducts with integrated brake cooling to enhance airflow management. The rear is equally impressive with inlets near the rear hatch and a spoiler. These combined with the ZR1’s lower center of gravity contribute to its superior aerodynamics. An optional ZTK package offers even more performance adding a high-downforce rear wing, stiffer springs, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.
Inside the 2025 ZR1, drivers will find an interior reminiscent of the Z06 with exclusive touches. Unique badging, new stitch patterns, and a boost gauge to monitor turbochargers are just a few new enhancements. A large infotainment screen is angled toward the driver with controls positioned along the top of the console. While Chevy has not yet disclosed the 0 to 60 mph time, the automaker has boasted that the ZR1 can cover a quarter mile in under 10 seconds with a top speed exceeding 215 mph. Production of the 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 is scheduled to begin in 2025. Pricing is expected to start at an MSRP of around $180,000 (plus destination fee). Although Chevy has produced iconic models like the Z06 and hybrid E-Ray, the 2025 Corvette ZR1 stands as the crowning achievement in the Corvette lineup.
