AutoTrader, the prominent online automotive marketplace in the U.K., reports that searches for this specific vehicle have surpassed double the amount in the last month, with the film’s promotional materials being credited for the heightened attention.

Newly published data from Auto Trader unveils an astonishing upswing in user inquiries for convertible Chevy Corvettes spanning from May 19 to June 18 in the current year. Within this timeframe, searches for these cars surged to 12,000, marking a notable 120 percent rise in comparison to the corresponding period in the previous year. Intriguingly, this surge in interest coincided with the unveiling of the movie’s primary trailer on May 25, prominently featuring Barbie behind the wheel of her beloved pink Corvette.

Alongside the heightened search activity, the Auto Trader platform has also witnessed a significant surge in listings for pink convertibles, registering an impressive uptick of 93 percent during the same timeframe. These statistics serve as a clear indication of the undeniable impact that the movie’s promotional materials have had in generating excitement and fueling interest in the legendary Chevy Corvette among passionate car enthusiasts.

The allure surrounding Barbie’s Corvette goes beyond just AutoTrader users, as evidenced by an analysis of Google search data from the previous three months. The findings unveil a significant surge in interest across various search terms related to the Barbie movie and her iconic car. Searches for “Barbie movie car” have skyrocketed by an impressive 450 percent, while searches for “Barbie Corvette” have surged by 80 percent. The search term “Pink Corvette” has also experienced a notable increase of 21 percent and searches for “Barbie Car” have grown by 19 percent.

The irresistible appeal of Barbie’s vehicle is undeniable, and it’s no wonder it captivates people’s attention. In the movie, Barbie and her cheerful companion Ken (portrayed by Ryan Gosling) embark on a journey from Barbie Land to the Real World in a customized C1 Corvette. This modified version stands out with its striking neon pink exterior, complemented by white and chrome accents on its bodywork.

Within the car’s interior, there’s a light-pink leather upholstery that deviates from the original two-seat layout of the C1 Corvette.
