The 2024 Chevy Corvette E-Ray Gets A Hybrid Powertrain

Having to keep up with the competition, General Motors knew it was time to electrify the Chevy Corvette sports car. The 2024 Chevy Corvette E-Ray is on the horizon–so much went into turning the conventional Corvette to one powered by a hybrid powertrain. There were concerns from consumers that the E-Ray’s hybrid system would be complicated to fix, but that is furthest from the truth because the E-Ray was designed to temper that concern. Customers can’t wait to get their hands on this new hybrid supercar and get behind the wheel to witness the fast speeds for themselves.
More On The Corvette E-Ray
Chevrolet fans are excited about the accidentally revealed E-Ray Corvette, where a visualizer went live before it was supposed to. A member of the MidEngineCorvetteForum discovered it, and it was seen in the 2024MY with a new electrified model. Unfortunately, there was only a little written information to go off of. Besides that, it’s a hybrid. Chevrolet plans on having this new vehicle on sale by next summer (2024), with the official reveal of this hybrid Corvette slated to take place at the beginning of 2024.
The E-Ray will come with three new paint colors: Cacti, Riptide Blue Metallic, and Sea-Wolf Gray Tricoat. What makes this vehicle a reality more than a dream is that the green shade is already an existing color on another vehicle. Chevrolet proved this leak wasn’t on purpose to create buzz for this new car because it was quickly taken down but not soon enough before screenshots were taken. Anyone can notice that the E-Ray has Z06’s wide hips, but the car is painted the same color all over.
Not only is the E-Ray’s body similar to the Z06, but most is the same between these two Corvettes except the flat-plane LT6 and the mounted exhaust tips. The E-Ray also lacks a charging port so it won’t be a plug-in hybrid. There is a button on the left side of the center console, meaning it has an on/off regenerative braking system. It is believed that the 2024 Corvette E-Ray will have all-wheel-drive, with a V8 powering the front wheels; it’s rumored to be a substitute for the Grand Sport.
2024 Corvette Z06
An exciting new sports car is coming with a more affordable price–the 2024 Chevy Corvette Z06. Each base trim level for the 2024 Corvette Z06 1LZ has a starting cost of $109,695 (plus a destination fee). This trim level includes a 10-speaker Bose sound system, a head-up display, and eight-way power moveable GT1 seats.
A higher trim level is the Corvette Z06 3LZ, with a starting price of $124,345, including the destination fee. Inside, there are GT2 heated Napa leather seats, a 14-speaker Bose Performance Series sound system, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. There are plenty of add-on packages customers can purchase to customize their new sports car for the 2024 Chevy Corvette Z06 at a more affordable price.
