Chevy Express

The Chevy Express has been around for 27 years; as of 2023, this vehicle replaced the Chevrolet van in 1996. General Motors has announced that there are plans in the work to revamp the Chevy Express for the 2027 model year. General Motors will keep this vehicle around since GM is transitioning to EV powertrains. General Motors will still push to redesign the Chevy Express, starting with a new and improved engine.

The 2027 Chevy Express will be made on the GMT 620 platform and the ICE powerplant. The most recent model of the Chevy Express is made on the GMT 610 platform. A few forms are offered for the current-generation Chevy Express, including Chevy Express Cargo, Chevy Express Passenger, and the Chevy Express Cutaway. The engine options are a 4.3L V6 LV1 gasoline engine with 276 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 298 lb-ft of torque at 3,900 rpm. The 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine has 401 horsepower, 5,200 rpm, and 464 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm.

Chevrolet Entering Into The EV World

Chevy plans to showcase a new marketing campaign involving NFL football, and the idea of it is drawing a crowd. Eventually, this new ad will be centered around electric vehicles from Chevrolet. Chevrolet has been making electric vehicles for General Motors for a bit now. There will be many more affordable electric vehicles coming from Chevy, and people can’t wait. Currently, there aren’t a lot of EV commercials, but that is subject to change very soon because EVs are the future.

Automakers are working hard to make more electric vehicles to produce the best ones. Still, it will also be crucial to put the same energy into showcasing and advertising these cars. In the beginning, only a few automakers were transitioning to electric vehicles and producing only a tiny amount. It was a hard transition to make EVs and sell them. There seemed to be no profit for automakers and consumers, but that has drastically changed with the release of Chevy’s new ad, “EVs for Everyone,” first shown on Chevrolet’s YouTube channel. The ad is about people getting excited about driving an EV and the new cars coming soon, such as the Equinox EV, the Silverado EV pickup truck, and the Blazer EV. The ad sure is musical, and anyone who watches will enjoy the full minute of what it means to be a Chevy EV owner.

Come On Down Today

Chevrolet is doing a great job showcasing new vehicles and redesigning older models. The Chevy brand aims to remake the older Chevy Express van sometime in 2027. The redesign may surprise some, but Chevy thinks it would be a significant gain to have a redesigned Chevy Express a part of their lineup. Come on down to NYE Automotive Group to check out any Chevy van that may fit your needs.
