2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV: Great Range, Details & Pricing

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is here and ready to be showcased to the public. The new Silverado EV is an all-electric pickup truck that was built on the General Motors Ultium platform. It comes with a dual motor all-wheel drive powertrain and a very large battery pack. New trims include the Work Truck (WT), RST, 4WT and the 3WT version. As for the electric truck’s battery pack, it has two different 400-volt batteries which are usually connected alongside a 400-volt powertrain. The 4WT version can tow 10,000 lbs, the 3WT can tow 12,500 lbs and the RST version can tow up to 10,000 lbs. 

More On The Silverado EV

General Motors recently announced that the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV obtained a higher EPA range estimate than initially expected. The all-new electric truck originally had a range of 400 miles on a full charge, but now, the Silverado EV will have an EPA estimate of 450 miles of range. The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV has a starting cost of $79,800 (plus destination fee). 

Chevrolet also has big plans to produce an extremely loaded RST First Edition model of the Silverado EV, which will get around 400 miles of range. This electric truck will be able to use any public charging stations throughout the United States. Silverado EV 4WT

A new player is joining the electric lineup, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV, which will go on sale at the end of the year. This new truck will have an all-wheel-drive powertrain, producing 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque. The starting price for the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV is $79,800 (plus destination fee). Another impressive feature is the 4WT battery pushing the truck to reach a 450-mile range. 

The Chevy Silverado EV 4WT‘s distance and 60 mph time in 5.4 seconds is impressive since the truck weighs 8,500 lbs. The 4WT can tow 10,000 lbs, which helps carry all the storage in its more prominent in-size cargo bed. Inside the truck is an easy-to-use 11.0-inch touchscreen and an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, plus climate control buttons. A big perk of a larger vehicle is more space for passengers, so the ride is more comfortable without feeling squished. Even an off-roader Trail Boss trim is coming to add to the Silverado EV lineup, and customers can’t wait.

The Super Bowl ad showcases the all-new Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss, and consumers know it’s that specific vehicle because the pickup truck has a large logo. General Motors has teamed up with Netflix to present GM EVs in a few Netflix-based shows and movies and, of course, Super Bowl ads. Some of the vehicles that will be presented are the Chevy Bolt EUV, GMC Hummer EV, and the Cadillac Lyriq for some upcoming shows. There was a new commercial that Netflix and GM aired starring Will Ferrell during the Super Bowl LVII on February 12th, 2023.
